Twenty-five parish nurses and supporters for parish nurses participated in the Study Tour to England. Participants for part or all of the tour were from Australia, England, Germany, Norfolk Island, USA, and Wales. The tour began in London with visits to well-known sites in London as well as a tour of the Nightingale Museum where we had the opportunity to “meet” Florence and listen to her tell about her call from God to serve as a nurse. After completing our days in London, the group traveled to Cambridge where most took advantage of the opportunity for punting through the canal to see some of the many colleges in Cambridge. Two days were spent in Westfield House and Resurrection Lutheran Church (headquarters for the ELCE) for a full day parish nurse seminar and an opportunity to participate in a worship and fellowship time. The trip concluded with a trip to Claydon House where Florence Nightingale spent her last years. As always, we appreciated the opportunity to renew friendships and make new ones with parish nurses in the Lutheran global community.
