Tour - Australia
The second
LPNI Study Tour was to Australia (September 6-13, 2011) using the
theme
HisStory Down
Under.
The study
included an introduction to the Lutheran pioneers to Australia from
Germany and the founding of the Lutheran Church Australia, visits
to several Lutheran churches, the Lutheran College and Seminary,
the National Church Office, a Lutheran Facility for the Aged, and
numerous other sites.
Rev. Fraser
Pearce led the Bible study in His Story (Creation, Redemption, and
Sanctification). Worship was at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in
Adelaide.
The study tour
also included participation at the Lutheran Church of Australia
Parish Nurse Seminar with clergy and parish nurse presenters.
Participants shared the parish nurse story in various parts of the
world including Australia, Finland, Palestine, and the
USA.
